Terms of Service

The Biz is a directory that helps people discover minority-owned businesses. Listings may be submitted by the public, claimed and managed by business owners, or curated by our team. We work to keep information accurate and current, but listing details (hours, services, insurance plans, and so on) can change — always confirm directly with the business before relying on it.

You may browse the Site without an account. Creating an account lets you save search history, favorites, and collections, and manage content you submit. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Anyone may submit a business for inclusion. Business owners may claim their listing for free and manage its content, photos, announcements, coupons, and reservations. By submitting or claiming a listing, you represent that the information provided is accurate and that you have the right to publish it. We may edit, decline, or remove listings that violate these terms, are misleading, or misuse the platform.

You are responsible for content you post, including reviews, photos, comments, and announcements. Content must be lawful, truthful, and your own; it must not contain spam, hate speech, harassment, defamatory statements, or infringing material. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences — we may remove content that is fake, paid for without disclosure, or otherwise inauthentic. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display it on the Site in connection with operating the directory.

Business owners may optionally purchase upgrades such as featured placement. Paid features are provided through our payment provider, and all purchases are governed by the terms presented at checkout. Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Claiming and maintaining a basic listing is always free.

You agree not to misuse the Site — including scraping it at scale, attempting to break its security, submitting automated or fraudulent submissions, impersonating others, or interfering with other users' access.

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for any business listed on the Site, the quality of its services, or interactions between users and businesses. Your use of any listed business is solely between you and that business.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Biz and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
